Do you prefer DJing or promoting your own parties?
I think a lot of promoters see themselves as being DJs above promoters - most of them probably started putting on parties in the first place just to give themselves a slot! But actually we probably derive more pleasure from curating an entire event - from the venue, to the sound, lighting, set design, even the people! Although sometimes when you just turn up with your DJ bag to play a party and it happens to be a really good promoter, then that's great too - zero hassle.
